About my practice

After 40 years working one to one with people, and having a genuine interest in individuals lives and wellbeing, it was obvious to me (and many others) that counselling was a natural progression in my career.

Helping others has always been at the heart of everything I do; from my professional life to volunteering and spending time with my family and friends. Those around me have always seen me as a ‘listening-ear’ and a constant support; supporting and enabling those around me to become the best versions of themselves.

Person-centred counselling suits me because it allows me to listen with empathy and without judgement. I help those I work with to see themselves in a different light and work through their challenges in a comfortable and relaxed environment, at a pace that suits them. Carl Rogers (the father of person-centred counselling) said, “People only seriously consider change when they feel accepted for exactly who they are.” and this is entirely our aim at Flourish.

On our journey we will work in partnership, bringing together the best elements of a range of counselling methods; so that we find a style to suit you and help you flourish.

I’ve never felt as comfortable as I did in my first appointment. I’ve needed this for the last three years and now I have found them, I know I will finally get closure.

I work within my professional ethical standards. I am always honest with my clients showing a genuine interest in each individual.

I am reliable, open and honest with my clients and build trusting relationships based on empathy and understanding.

I work to develop self-awareness in my clients, helping them understand the challenges they face and find the solutions they need to help them flourish.
